A REFRESHING WIND OF THE SPIRIT

“A fresh wind of My Spirit is blowing – blowing over those who have become bogged down with cares and the stress of this world. It is a wind of refreshing, of new Hope and Strength.  It is also a creative wind that will stir up the gifts and calling on the inside of you.  So rise up My beloved, and come and feast at My table.  Come and look deep into My Love in the secret place of My Presence.  I am waiting for you there to behold you, to behold the devotions of your heart.  This is the place of heart-to-heart, face-to-face encounters, where you will find the desires of My heart for you.  Come eat, come drink, come and feast at My banqueting table, getting fed with the Word of My will.  That will give you life and sustain you and carry you through each day in victory!”

There are winds of Change blowing over the church of the Lord and those who will embrace it, will find that all the confusion, fears, frustrations and hopelessness of the past season will be blown away like cobwebs. If we are willing to wait at His feet, allowing the Holy Spirit to counsel us, clarity will come and new inspiration to pursue our goals with a fresh Word and a fresh anointing, accompanied with a fire and zeal to fulfill our destiny, establishing the Kingdom of God as we go.  The secret keys are found in the secret place, so make haste beloved to run into His Presence and wait there until your strength be renewed in His refreshing wind.

AN INCREDIBLE DAY in the HISTORY OF HAITI

I think that I will remember this day as one of the most

 significant in my life, not because of what I 

did, but for it's meaning.  Today was the one month 

anniversary of the great Haitian earthquake. 

        About 3 days ago the Haitian President

 announced that there would be 3 days of holiday 

from work for the purpose of fasting and prayer.  

This is absolutely historic.  If you have ever been in 

Haiti as a visitor or missionary, could you ever have 

imagined such a pronouncement? Could you 

image such an announcement from the U.S. President?  

This morning I saw a young Haitian-American woman,

 the leader of a work team, crying because 

the Americans could not understand the incredible

 importance of this day and wanted to go about 

business as usual. Remember, it was only about 

6 years ago that a former Haitian president 

called the nation to come together to

 rededicate the nation to Satan. 

        This was not "a minute of silence for the

 deceased" or something as equally insignificant.  

Whatever the President might have originally 

intended, this became a real commitment for the 

Haitian people.  As I sit here this evening, 

I can hear the preaching coming from a nearby church.  

Services have been going on all day.

        Let me tell you what I saw and felt today. 

Peniel and I had planned an inspection trip 

up to the Artibonite Valley today. Right or wrong,

 I don't really know, but since it was the only 

opportunity, we went ahead with the trip. 

 As we left the guesthouse about 7:30 am, 

we were met by throngs of well dressed people

 headed to various churches.  The sounds of 

Christian music and worship filled the air 

everywhere.  

The next observation was that there was NO

 traffic. Port-au-Prince streets are always 

clogged and 

overflowing with bumper to bumper traffic.  

This morning there were only a few vehicles 

on the roads, a few small buses (tap taps),

 some UN and military vehicles, and a few 

private cars.  We had clear sailing through 

town.  

The same was true of foot traffic.  Usually the 

streets are clogged also with people walking.  

Today there were only a few and many of them 

dressed for church.  The only place that

 there were traffic blocks was in front of several 

churches where the congregations had 

overflowed the buildings and the yards and 

had moved out into the streets as well. 

The next observation was that EVERYTHING 

was closed!  We could not find even one business or 

gas station open.  There were no intercity buses

 running.  Whereas the sidewalks are usually

 overflowing with millions of street venders, 

we only saw a few here and there.  The huge 

outdoor market near the wharf where thousands

 work each day and is spread out to cover most of the 

street, was EMPTY. 

        Where were all the people?  They were in 

churches and makeshift meeting sites. Every church 

(except a JW church) had services going on,

 almost always overflowing into the streets. 

 Beside broken down churches, services were 

taking place outside.  In homeless camps, 

there were services. 

 Everywhere the nation was gathered to worship 

and pray.  No, I did not see any voodoo, Islamic, 

or Buddhist services.  This scene was repeated

 in every town and hamlet that we passed during 

the day. 

        Tonight, Pastor Ignace, who is sharing the 

room with me, asked this question: "Can people 

still say that Haiti is a voodoo country?"  What

 has been happening and is continuing to happen 

in Haiti did not happen because of the earthquake. 

It has been happening because the Haitian 

people know how to pray. This is a tremendous

 outpouring of God's power as the result of prayer. 

 Twenty years ago I started praying for the Gospel

 to change the Haitian culture.  I think that I am 

seeing God do that work. 

        The only sadness that I feel today is for our

 nation.  While a nation that has long been under 

Satan's domination is turning to God with total 

commitment, our nation, founded on Godly values 

has rejected God and is rapidly trying to forget 

that his name even exists.  Let us pray for revival.

       GOVERNMENTS SHAKEN: This past week the world has been experiencing shakings of all kinds: Shakings in the governments of the world-Greece, Iraq, USA, Iran, and Czech Republic.

       THE SEAS HAVE BEEN SHAKEN: Besides Tidal Waves and Tsunamis, there have been shakings of the Seas with unexplainable “Rogue Waves” as high as thirty feet, (three in a row) washing over a five-star cruise ship off the shore of Barcelona in the Mediterranean, killing two people, and wounding others. Scientists have no explanation.

       WORLD-WIDE ECONOMIC CONDITIONS: The economies of nations all over the world have been shaken, bringing great consternation, fear, and great hardships to millions.

       GREAT MINISTRIES HAVE BEEN SHAKEN:  In these last two years, we have all been deeply grieved about the shakings in the lives and ministries of servants of God who have been mightily used of God and held in high esteem.

       FAMOUS AND HIGHLY HONOURED SPORTS AND GIFTED “STARS”:  They have shaken the world by suddenly falling from their pedestals we built for them.

       THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM HAS BEEN SHAKEN:  The shaking of our educational system. I heard a school teacher on the radio say that our educational system maintains that it is not necessary to teach History any longer. (I suppose that if you are an ape, you have no history of importance).

       MORAL STANDARDS AND FAMILY VALUES HAVE BEEN SHAKEN:  Our moral standards and family value is in fragments in many homes, (especially when mummy and daddy are the same sex). This week Washington, D.C. passed the law allowing same-sex marriage for the District of Columbia. What has happened to our beautiful “City on a Hill?”

       THE WORLD ITSELF IS SHAKING:  And now the whole earth is reeling, like a drunken man. This beautiful world God created cannot bear the burden of our sins. Earthquakes in Haiti, Tibet, Chile, Argentina, and Taiwan - all within the space of a few weeks. All of them are 6.5 or higher, Chile’s earthquake was 8.8 (fifth largest in recorded history). There have been over 1,000 quake swarms at Yellowstone since the beginning of the year. The world is like a woman in the last stages of childbirth, with the pangs of pain coming increasingly closer together, and with greater severity. The seismologists are warning us this week that Southern California’s San Andreas fault is over due, and is active with numerous small shocks all of a sudden (within the past month) which could easily be foreshocks. There have been many 3.0 and 4.5 quakes within a100 mile radius of San Diego just recently. Romans 8:22 talks of these days, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.” 

       Why is all this happening? Two reasons:

       1. Our cup of iniquity is filled to the brim. The world cannot bear the burden of shame and sin. We are living like they did in the days of Noah, before the flood, and the citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah, before they were buried in fire and brimstone -as Jesus prophesied it would be in the end time. 

       2. Romans 8:19-22 tells us, “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope: Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”

       Remember what Jesus said in Luke 21:28, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”

       These terrible birth pangs that are bringing the wrath, God’s wrath and judgment on the world are a sign to us that we are about to receive back everything we lost through the Fall. God is dividing The Children of God from those who are His enemies, like He did in Egypt long ago, in the land of Goshen, when the plagues fell on the Egyptians, while His people were saved from all of them.

       But Jesus warned us: We cannot live like The “Egyptians” who served false gods and lived sinful lives, and were cruel to the people of God. He said, “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man!” (Luke 21:36).

 Children of God: live holy lives, like the faithful, dedicated saints of old. Read your Bible, Pray without ceasing, and love your neighbour!

PENNIES FROM HEAVEN

It all started several days ago when a penny seemingly fell out of the sky and hit me on the shoulder while I was driving my car. Every day since, a penny has fallen around or on me. Yesterday I finally realized that the Lord was trying to show me something. As I looked at yesterday’s penny, I heard in my Spirit…Pennies from heaven. I looked up the meaning of the phrase and found this:

  From Oxford English Dictionary:

“e. pennies from heaven: money acquired without effort or risk; unexpected benefits, esp. financial ones. Also (in sing.): a windfall, a godsend (rare).

  
This is the message I received from the Lord:

  
You have thought that you were becoming completely penniless….that all your resources were being depleted. But I say unto you, fear not! I AM with you, and I will now open My treasuries of heaven to rain upon you My supernatural abundance. You will walk in My wealth to do My business. You shall not be without the resources needed to achieve My goals. You will complete that which I have burdened you with for I will provide ALL that is needed. The enemy is attempting to cut off your supply lines in the natural, but you operate from a higher place. I AM above all of the world and will provide in My ways. Even now I have My angels dispatched on your behalf to bring forth your abundant provision. Rejoice My children for you shall overcome and succeed in the face of your enemies. Prepare to receive My abundance designated specifically for you! Your table is prepared!

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men…..

 It is not known who replied, but there is a beautiful soul working in the dead letter office of the US postal service.

 
 
 
Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey… She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words:
 
 Dear God,

 Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.
 I hope you will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.
 Love, Meredith

 
 We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.

Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, ‘To Meredith’ in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, ‘When a Pet Dies..’ Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey &Meredith and this note:

 Dear Meredith,

 Abbey arrived safely in heaven.

 Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away.
 Abbey isn’t sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don’t need our bodies in heaven, I don’t have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by..
 Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you.
 I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much.
 By the way, I’m easy to find, I am wherever there is love.
