PERFECTING HOLINESS IN THE FEAR OF GOD.

EARLY beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit.

      Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.–Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.–Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.–Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect.

      Every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Waiting For the “Kairos” Time in Expectation for the “Suddenly”!

Dear Family in Christ,

This morning, as we were praying together, the Lord quickened it to out spirits that His timing is of utmost importance.   Many have been in preparation to step into their destiny with a fresh anointing, but the enemy rose up against you and it seemed as if you were stuck with a lot of oppression and resistance coming against you.  Your breakthrough will surely come in the appointed time, but in the process you need to follow God’s orders.

We can learn from David’s example after Baal Perazim (11 Sam. 5:17-25).  He had just experienced a great victory, like the breaking forth of many waters, but he didn’t rely on himself or his experience.  Even when we think we have the “know-how”, we need to consult the Lord for His will, His strategy and His timing.  “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man” (Ps. 118:8).  The instructions that David received for his next victory were totally different than before.  God told him to position himself and his men (in other words to be ready) and wait (in listening mode and expectancy) until they heard “the sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees: then thou shalt bestir thyself “ (and not before), “for then shall the Lord go out before thee to smite the host of the Philistines”.  They would be assured of victory because they listened for His voice and followed His Presence!  Halleluyah!

The keys for victory that we receive from this passage, are as follows:

1. Always enquire from the Lord in total dependence on Him;
2. Follow His instructions: POSITION YOURSELF TO LISTEN (in worship);
3. WAIT patiently and with perseverance until the SOUND IS RELEASED FROM HEAVEN.   That is His perfect TIMING (KAIROS) when everything will fall into place;
4. BE EXPECTANT and READY to MOVE on His “Suddenly”;
5. The Victory is assured when He goes before you!

Your degree of expectancy for Breakthrough will determine your readiness to receive His “suddenlies”!

In the meantime, press deeper into worship and persevere faithfully. He is looking at your heart, “for since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what He hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.” (IS. 64:4-6) He has glory in store!

The secret lies in the WAITING process.  It is a place of relinquishing our frustrations, our impatience in full surrender to Him until our souls have quieted down and entered into His rest; now ready to REJOICE in a new song of hope and expectancy! Then the double doors of favor will be opened for us to pass through in victory! Patience ALWAYS has the reward of blessing!  And after we have passed the test of temptation to walk in the flesh, we shall receive the crown of life!  (James 1:12).  Glory to  God!   REJOICE IN HIM!

Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey… She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words:
 
 Dear God,

 Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.
 I hope you will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.
 Love, Meredith

 
 We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.

Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, ‘To Meredith’ in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, ‘When a Pet Dies..’ Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey &Meredith and this note:

 Dear Meredith,

 Abbey arrived safely in heaven.

 Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away.
 Abbey isn’t sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don’t need our bodies in heaven, I don’t have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by..
 Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you.
 I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much.
 By the way, I’m easy to find, I am wherever there is love.
